Before You Buy Body Sun Care

This shelf is for beach trips, summer outings and anyone spending long hours outdoors. Options fall into three groups: a high-protection sunscreen (UVE Pro Milk SPF 50+), after-sun products in lotion, gel, cream or spray form to cool and moisturize skin, and tanning oils for bronzing. Only the sunscreen here is labeled with SPF, so choose based on whether you need protection, soothing, or a tan.

How to choose

  • Protection first: tanning oils and after-sun products are not sunscreens; apply SPF 50+ before sun exposure.
  • Oily skin or hot weather? Gels and sprays feel lighter; creams and lotions suit drier skin.
  • The See-Lit spray (350 EGP) reaches your back easily; lotions at 170–200 EGP are budget-friendly.
  • If skin feels hot and tight after sun, consider an aloe vera option like Bobai gel.
  • Ask the pharmacist before use on children, sensitive skin, or burns with blisters or swelling.

Frequently asked questions

Do tanning oils protect against the sun?

The tanning oils on this shelf (Bobai and Raw African) are not labeled with an SPF, so don't rely on them for protection. Oil may speed up tanning and raise the risk of burning. If you use one, limit sun time and read the label; ask the pharmacist if your skin is fair or sensitive.

How often should I reapply sunscreen?

Apply generously about 15 minutes before going out, then reapply roughly every two hours and after swimming, sweating or towel drying. One morning application isn't enough for a full beach day, and a larger bottle is more practical when covering the whole body.

What's the difference between after-sun lotion, gel, cream and spray?

They share the same goal, soothing and moisturizing skin after sun, but differ in texture. Gels feel cool and light for hot weather, sprays are quick and reach your back, lotions are a balanced everyday choice, and creams are richer for dry skin. Pick the feel and price that suit you.

Can after-sun products treat sunburn?

After-sun products may help soothe and hydrate skin that feels hot or dry after sun, but they don't treat burns. Blisters, severe redness, swelling, fever or chills need medical attention. If you're unsure how serious a burn is, ask the pharmacist before applying anything.

Will my order arrive before my trip, and how do I pay?

Delivery usually takes 12 to 72 hours depending on your area, and you can pay cash on delivery. It's best to order a few days before travelling so your sunscreen and after-sun are ready from your first day at the beach.
