A fast-growing online store means more invoices, more suppliers and daily cash-on-delivery collections, and a small slip on day 3 becomes a big gap by day 30. You will record and reconcile the everyday transactions that keep our books accurate, and help close the month under the guidance of a senior accountant who reviews your work and teaches you as you go.
Experience: Fresh graduate, no prior experience required; an accounting internship or part-time work is a plus
What you will do
- Record purchase, sales and expense invoices in Odoo as they arrive, so the books reflect reality day by day
- Reconcile cash and petty cash daily to catch any difference before it grows
- Match supplier statements against invoices and purchase orders so we pay only what is owed, and on time
- Help reconcile cash-on-delivery collections with shipping partners to confirm every pound collected actually reaches us
- Prepare simple adjustments and journal entries for the monthly close, following the schedule set by your senior accountant
- File accounting documents on paper and digitally so any record can be found within minutes during a review
- Build simple Excel reports on request to support purchasing and follow-up decisions
What we need
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent, or comparable accounting studies with a clear practical grasp of the basics
- Solid accounting fundamentals: double entry, debits and credits, trial balance, bank reconciliation
- Working Excel skills: core formulas, sorting and filtering, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, and pivot tables
- A careful eye for numbers and documents, and the habit of checking your own work before handing it over
- Able to work full time from our office in New Cairo
Nice to have
- An accounting internship or part-time role, especially in trading or distribution
- Hands-on exposure to any accounting system or ERP, such as Odoo
- Basic knowledge of Egyptian VAT and the e-invoicing system
- Current or planned study toward a professional qualification such as CMA, ACCA or an accounting diploma
Your first 90 days
- By day 30You understand how purchasing, sales and collections flow at Beseha, and you record supplier invoices and daily expenses in Odoo accurately, with your senior accountant reviewing your entries.
- By day 60You handle the daily cash reconciliation and a set of supplier statements largely on your own, flagging any differences with a first explanation of the cause.
- By day 90You deliver your assigned month-end tasks on schedule with only minor review notes, and you have suggested one improvement that saves time on a repetitive task.
Where this can lead
- General Accountant running a full accounting cycle independently
- Specialising in accounts payable, treasury, or cost and inventory accounting
- Senior Accountant, then a path toward financial analysis or finance management
