A customer opens the app to reorder a supplement they rely on, and one slow screen or confusing checkout step is enough to make them close it. You'll build and evolve the Beseha app on Android and iOS in Flutter so it stays fast, stable and simple from first scroll to confirmed order. That means shipping new features, tuning performance, owning notifications and payments, integrating with the WooCommerce API, and moving hard-coded settings into Remote Config so the team can change things without waiting for a release.
Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on Flutter development with apps published to the stores
Why this role mattersThe app is the closest point between Beseha and its customers: it's where they order and where they read health content reviewed by licensed pharmacists. When the app is reliable and clear, people make health decisions with confidence, and that is the heart of Beseha's mission to be a trusted, educational health voice in Egypt.
What you will do
- Build new Flutter features from design to release so shopping in the app feels easier and clearer.
- Improve app performance (load times, smooth scrolling, memory use), especially on mid-range and low-end Android devices.
- Build and refine push notifications that arrive on time, open the right screen, and help customers rather than nag them.
- Integrate and harden in-app payment alongside cash on delivery to cut down on orders abandoned halfway.
- Connect the app to the WooCommerce REST API (products, cart, orders, accounts) with clean code and clear error handling.
- Move hard-coded settings into Firebase Remote Config with safe defaults, so the team can adjust content and behaviour without an app update.
- Prepare and publish releases on Google Play and the App Store, then monitor crashes and reviews after every release.
- Write tests, review teammates' code, and use AI tools to move faster without lowering quality.
What we need
- 2-5 years of hands-on Flutter development, with at least one app published on Google Play or the App Store that you can show us.
- Strong Dart and practical experience with at least one state management approach such as Bloc, Riverpod or Provider, and a clear view of when each fits.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling errors and unreliable network conditions.
- Hands-on experience publishing to both stores (signing, versioning, review requirements).
- Experience with Firebase, particularly FCM notifications, Remote Config or Crashlytics.
- Daily use of Git and working in a team with code review.
Nice to have
- Previous work on e-commerce apps or a WooCommerce integration.
- Experience integrating online payment gateways used in Egypt.
- Familiarity with Flutter DevTools for performance profiling and with GA4 event tracking.
- Experience setting up mobile CI/CD with tools such as Codemagic, Fastlane or GitHub Actions.
Your first 90 days
- By day 30You know the codebase and how it talks to WooCommerce, have the Android and iOS build and release setup running on your machine, and have shipped a first small fix or improvement to real users.
- By day 60You've delivered at least one feature end to end and produced a clear inventory of hard-coded settings to move into Remote Config, each with a safe default.
- By day 90The first set of settings is live in Remote Config, and you've measured performance on the core screens and shipped visible improvements to speed or crash rate.
